At Building A Refuge, we are grateful for the opportunity to give back to the La Crosse area su***de prevention initiative through the generous donations we received from the Animal House charity golf outing. 💛

To the Animal House, the organizers, golfers, donors, and everyone who had a hand in supporting this event—thank you. Your generosity allows us to extend that support back into a community that means so much to us.

Having roots in La Crosse makes this especially meaningful. We are thankful to stand alongside others working to bring hope, encourage honest conversations, and remind people that it is always okay to raise your hand and ask for help.

This is what community looks like: people showing up for one another and helping carry the mission forward—one story at a time to create HOPE.

Cannot thank Jason from the Animal House is La Crosse Wisconsin enough for organizing and running the BAR Golf Outing a few weeks back. Yesterday, he presented Building a Refuge with a donation of over 4500.00 that was raised through donations and kindness to support mental health awareness and su***de prevention in the community. What is even more awesome here is that these donation will support more community education, awareness and needs right here in Wisconsin where I grew up. Building a Refuge has resources right here in La Crosse that are willing to help ! And that is so amazing!

Thank you again to everyone that helped with this amazing event. And stay tuned for the 2027 date coming !

What a fun pop up “get to know” Building a Refuge at the Helm BAR in La Crosse Wisconsin yesterday.
Thank you to the staff and the the BAR support team in La Crosse that continue to put mental health awareness and su***de prevention on the forefront!

We want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who supported, donated, volunteered, participated, organized, and had a hand in making the Building a Refuge Charity Golf Outing at Fox Hollow Golf Course such a meaningful event.
