We have been living outdoors for 3 years and get denied or refused, not only service or goods, but the majority of assistance as well. All donations help us stay alive, on average we are graced with being able to sleep indoors for 18 weeks a year, in all elements. While most don't understand because it is not them in this situation. Some even say that they would not allow themselves to be in this
situation...Do you think it is by choice? Do you know what it is like to worry if I am going to keep my handler warm at night because his own mother threw us outside in freezing temperatures, his sister has done the same, over the last 3 years he has borrowed money from friends with the full intention of paying it back, he deals with phone call after phone call about accruing medical debt, student loan payments, but yet the entities like McDonald's, Starbuck's, Fred Meyer (just to name the biggest 3, but there are too smaller businesses that discriminate just as ignorantly as the others) Yes you would be lost, you would be dazed, perhaps depressed, but yet Corey musters up the strength to keep going on, no matter the flack that is given to him in person, online, or anything else. So if you need someone to verbally bash or abash than go ahead and give him just that much ridicule for your foolishness is all
you truly have to offer. I started off as just a puppy from the Monroe County Humane Shelter and have had a very long venturous puppy hood, my handler Corey Bracken was injured and just by chance of life was able to train me to do a variety of services for him...therefore I am a Service Animal and for those of you wanting to know my breed I am mixed with part good and part spoiled...as well as I have learned on my own to let my papa know when his brain thing is gonna act up on him...WOW I am super and didn't even know it. I also help with pulling items like a wheelchair when needed, a grocery cart, carrying a back pack, and in the period that I have been a service canine I have come to heat up the blankets outside as that seems to be the only place we can find a place to live.
