A breast cancer diagnosis can bring fear, uncertainty, and so many difficult decisions.

For some patients, single-port robotic surgery may offer another path forward. At Ascension St. Vincent Fishers, a coordinated surgical team is helping eligible patients receive cancer treatment and immediate breast reconstruction through one personalized plan.

Every patient deserves to feel informed, supported and cared for through each step of the journey.

As a charge nurse in Labor & Delivery, Cindy's compassion, leadership and unwavering commitment to patients and her team make a difference every single day. As one colleague shared in their nomination, “I know when Cindy is at the helm that no matter whatever happens, we have a strong leader amongst us... Cindy is our quiet, dependable, compassionate leader who deserves this recognition."

Whether she's providing reassurance to families during their most vulnerable moments, mentoring fellow nurses or serving as a steady leader for her team, Cindy exemplifies the extraordinary care and kindness that the DAISY Award celebrates.

Ascension St. Vincent has reached a new agreement with UnitedHealthcare (UHC). This ensures patients with UHC Commercial, Medicare and Medicaid coverage will continue to have uninterrupted, in-network access to care at our hospitals, clinics and outpatient facilities.

Ascension St. Vincent extends its gratitude to patients, caregivers and partners for their continued trust, support and patience throughout this process.

This agreement is more than a contract — it is a reaffirmation of our Mission to serve all with dignity and compassion. By securing fair and sustainable reimbursement, we can continue supporting our caregivers, strengthening our ministry, and providing high-quality care to the individuals and families who rely on us.

Congratulations to our July BEE Award winner, Deanne!

Deanne is a Financial Counseling Representative at the Ascension St. Vincent Women & Infants Hospital.

Her nominator wrote, "Time and again, she anticipated our needs, taking care of important details before we even realized they were our responsibility. Because of her, we were able to spend less time worrying about logistics and more time simply being our son’s parents."

Thank you for all you do, Deanne! 🐝
