What started as simply sharing our family, Izaiah’s journey, our faith, and the adventures God has taken us on has grown into a community we’re incredibly grateful for.

Thank you for every prayer, comment, share, message, and word of encouragement. Thank you for loving Izaiah and our family and for allowing us to share the beautiful, hard, messy, faith filled moments of this life with you.

Will Rizzo’s son Izaiah has WOREE syndrome. It is an ultra-rare genetic condition that affects fewer than 200 children worldwide. Izaiah has a tracheostomy to help him breathe and a G-tube to help him eat. He requires respiratory equipment, suction supplies, feeding equipment, and emergency medical supplies at all times.
His father decided none of that was a reason to stay home.
The family needed a wheelchair-accessible van to make it work. They started a GoFundMe and hundreds of people donated. Will and his wife Yeni put down $17,000 and financed the rest of the $84,329 total. Then someone who heard their story covered the remaining balance. The van was paid in full.
They loaded it with everything Izaiah needs to survive and hit the road. National parks? Beaches. Landscapes their son! had never seen. Every stop required planning that othel ramilies never think about. Every mile meant monitorind ulC equipment that most parents have never beard efn that Most families in their position are told to stay close tole hospitals. To keep routines. To manage expectations. The Rizzos chose a different approachaThey refused tollet the difficulty of traveling become the reason their son never got to see the country hit the road.

Will Rizzo is not pretending his son’s condition doesn’t exist. He is making sure it doesn’t become the only thing that does 💙

The pressure may be increasing, but so is our faith. The enemy is limited, but our God is omnipresent, He is already surrounding Izaiah and going before us. We will not live in fear because greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world. We believe another blessing is around the corner. 🙏🏼💙
