What landed me in the ER with an overnight stay, 7 days post hysterectomy. 🤕

In case you’re wondering where I’ve been!

Let’s get a little woo woo today.

Something I did before and after my total hysterectomy (1 week ago), is listen to sacral chakra meditations using my free app.

Like an athlete going into an event, visualization is key for preparation. Send lots of healing energy to that area not only before surgery, but after.

Even without a uterus, you still have a sacral chakra, or energy center. Send it some good vibes!

Prone to UTIs post catheter? Me too.

After each of my previous catheter experiences, I acquired a UTI. So, going into this hysterectomy, I made sure to have the nutrition protocol on hand in case I would need it.

In fact, I’ve kept this protocol on hand for 16 years, as it’s the one protocol that got me into clinical nutrition when I had my first UTI turned kidney infection. It was a pain I never wanted to experience again, and keeping the protocol on hand ensured me that if I ever felt the symptoms coming on, I could nip it in the bud asap.

I have been keeping a hyper close eye on my body this week, and becoming in tune with all the things it’s telling me, being 6 days post hysterectomy.

Below is a list of the supplements in my UTI protocol that I mention in the video. Always consult your own practitioners to see what is right for your body for dosing purposes. The last thing you want is to take something you’re allergic to, or have a drug interaction with!

All from Standard Process/Medi Herb:
▪️Arginex- kidney detoxifying. The enzyme aginase helps breakdown arginine, a byproduct of protein breakdown.
▪️Albaplex - another kidney support product for UTIs
▪️Cataplex ACP- immune support and cellular wall integrity
▪️Renafood- kidney “multivitamin” also has arginex in it
▪️Echinacea Premium -immune support

Uterine septate. Adenomyosis. Iron deficiency. Three things that led to my ultimate decision to have a hysterectomy.

I’ve spent decades trying to solve this problem nutritionally and energetically. Ive done the pathogen protocols. I’ve done the hormonal reset protocols. I’ve done the liver and detoxification protocols. I’ve done the food diets to support normal cycles. I’ve tried every herb to support blood loss. I’ve done the energy work, the chakra balancing. None of it budged the needle in terms of regulating my cycle or improving the iron deficiency.

All of the surgeries I’ve ever had, have been on this one organ.
3 C Sections
Uterine Septate Removal
Uterine Rupture while attempting a VBAC
And finally a hysterectomy.

It’s been a wild ride, but I’m hopeful for being able to exercise again without needing a nap. Being able to recover after exercise. And overall just not feeling like garbage!

My 💩 protocol resulted in success! Here’s what I used, why I used it, and what I would recommend if I had to do it again.

I was kind of left in the dark post surgery with no real guidance on this topic, except for my own nutritional knowledge (and thank goodness I have a masters degree in nutrition). But nothing quite prepares you for experiencing it yourself. Luckily I like being my own Sherlock Holmes and investigating what works and what doesn’t.

1 day post hysterectomy. Is this a story you want to hear more about?

I’m not a big sharer of personal news on social media, but I feel like I bring a different lens to this uterus party, coming from a functional nutrition and exercise physiology background.

This surgery was not on my life’s bingo card, but I’m trusting the process that it was the right choice to finally have a normal existence!

So, comment below or like the video, and let me know if you care to hear more! Or I’ll just do it anyways.

No wonder I have ALWAYS had to take a nap after exercising. And absolutely zero nutritional protocols have even moved the needle.

I have probably been anemic my entire life. I thought it was my adrenals, or poor liver detox pathways, or my thyroid was sluggish… well, could have been any of those, but after working on everything for decades, I suspect it was structural all along, and everything else following (all the uterine surgeries) just compounded the problem and led to the adenomyosis which threw me over the edge to finally demand a full iron panel from my doc.
