Their first scenario pushed providers through the full arc of a cardiac arrest — multiple rounds of resuscitation and post-ROSC management. Practice makes proficient! We had a great time training alongside Montezuma Fire & Rescue. Our latest scenarios pushed crews to dive deep into their general assessments and critical thinking.

They tackled two simulated calls: a pediatric playground fall with a femur fracture, and an adult syncope-to-fall trauma. Participants focused on meticulous head-to-toe exams and rapid, decisive care.

Montezuma is in good hands with this dedicated team!

Training saves teen’s life after bee sting 🐝

Last week, we simulated an anaphylaxis emergency for Johnston-Grimes Metropolitan Fire District — airway management, epinephrine, the works. That same evening around 6:30 p.m., crews responded to a 16-year-old experiencing severe swelling from a bee sting that required intubation. The skills practiced just hours earlier turned into real-world, life-saving action. 🫶
