Today was a day we’ll never forget. 💙

Today, we proudly welcomed our very first patient to UCI Health Irvine Rehabilitation Hospital.

This milestone represents months of planning, teamwork, and dedication from an incredible group of physicians, nurses, therapists, clinical liaisons, support teams, and leaders who made this vision a reality.

It was an honor to celebrate this special moment with a ribbon-cutting as our first patient officially began their rehabilitation journey. Every patient who walks through our doors is more than a milestone—they’re the reason we’re here.

Coming Soon: The new UCI Health – Irvine Rehabilitation Hospital will expand access to advanced rehabilitation care for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, trauma, cancer treatment, orthopedic injury and more.

This state-of-the-art inpatient facility will feature:
• Private patient rooms
• Specialized brain and spinal cord injury care
• Advanced rehabilitation technologies
• Therapy gyms and real-world recovery spaces
• The region's first dedicated inpatient cancer rehabilitation program at an academic health system

Designed to help patients regain function, independence and quality of life, this new hospital is the future of rehabilitation care in Orange County.
