What if Alzheimer’s doesn’t start with forgetting?
We often think of Alzheimer’s disease as simply a problem with memory. But the changes can involve much more — including thinking, language, judgment, mood, behaviour, and the ability to carry out familiar everyday tasks.
Some changes may look small at first:
• Repeating the same questions
• Struggling to complete familiar tasks
• Having difficulty finding the right words
• Becoming confused about time or place
Alzheimer’s disease is not a normal part of aging, and noticing changes that interfere with everyday life is a reason to speak with a healthcare professional.
