She is a brain tumor survivor, but her journey has been anything but simple. Years ago, just two weeks after giving birth to her only son the youngest of her five children she received devastating news. What was supposed to be one of the happiest times of her life quickly turned into fear and uncertainty. Doctors assured her that if she had to have a tumor that this was the best type to have. And that surgery would be straightforward just three hours in and out nothing to worry about. But that's not what happened. Her surgery lasted 12 long hours. The tumor could not be fully removed. She remembered hospitalized for three months receiving what doctors described as super doses of steroids to control brain swelling. When she finally returned home, the battle was far from over. She had to relearn everything, how to walk, Talk, Reed, Rite. At the time her children needed her most her four daughters were between the ages of 12 years old to just two years old, and her newborn son was still an infant. The high doses of steroids saves her life, but they were severe, leading to two shoulder replacements, a hip replacement, foot surgery, and the need for additional surgeries still to come. Then in April 2025 everything changed again a driver ran a red light and slammed to her car at full speed, totaling her car. Her head struck the drivers side window during the impact. That trauma triggered something unimaginable. The remaining tumor tissue became aggressive, quadruple pulling in size. It is now larger than her eyeball. At the same time a second tumor appeared. The main tumor has shifted into an extremely dangerous location. Surgery now carries a very high risk of paralysis loss of bodily functions or death. It has attached to her optic nerve, forcing her left eye completely shut and has recently affected her right eye as well as the hearing in her left ear. Six specialist have already refused to operate. A seventh said surgery might be possible now she needs the support, love, and belief of a community to help her do it again. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps her continue this fight, sustain herself and fully commit to her healing journey.
