Jenna Pulkrabek, MSW, LICSW Resources, tips, and information regarding mental health and wellness. Welcome and thanks for exploring my page! Be well.

My practice is located in Isanti, MN within the Serenity Circle Counseling organization. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and received my Bachelor of Science in Social Work and Psychology from Bemidji State University, and my Master of Social Work from the University of North Dakota. I enjoy working with and specialize in adult and teen individual counseling, as well as c

ouples work. I spent the first 15 years of my Social Work career working in education, specifically in Setting IV educational programs, serving students with significant Emotional and Behavioral Disorders. My time in school settings allowed me to support the families of my students in learning about children’s mental health and more specifically, the effects of trauma on the individual and family systems. I am trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), but specialize in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). For more information about EMDR, I invite you to explore the EMDRIA website: https://www.emdria.org/about-emdr-therapy/

My goal as a therapist is to provide effective, efficient, and appropriate treatment for my clients and join them in their healing and growth journey. I enjoy integrating psychoeducation into my sessions and encouraging clients to be the captain of their therapeutic ship. In my free time I enjoy the usual things: reading, cooking, playing with my cats Luna and Joe Meower, and I also enjoy attending Twins games, participating in improv and comedy theater, being active in my church, remodeling my home with my partner Aaron, being at the lake, and playing cribbage. To schedule an appointment, please explore the website: https://serenitycirclecounseling.com/ and call 763-600-2911 to inquire about intake.

Last night's events have left many members of our Isanti and surrounding communities feeling shaken, overwhelmed, or simply not like themselves. In the aftermath of an unexpected and unsettling event, it's common to experience heightened anxiety, difficulty sleeping, racing thoughts, sadness, anger, or a sense of uncertainty. You do not have to navigate those reactions alone.

As a local trauma therapist, I have opened several appointments over the coming days to provide free, first-come, first-served counseling sessions for individuals who have been impacted by last night's unsettling events.

If you or someone you know could benefit from a safe, supportive space to process what they're experiencing, please contact Serenity Circle Counseling at 763-600-2911 to schedule an appointment. These sessions are available while openings remain.

Please know that seeking support is not a sign of weakness—it is a healthy response to an abnormal and distressing event.

My thoughts are with everyone affected, as well as the first responders, healthcare professionals, city staff, and community members who continue to care for one another during this difficult time. Be gentle with yourself and with each other.

Be well.

Serenity Circle Counseling offers compassionate, client-centered therapy for individuals, couples, and families in Minnesota. In-person and virtual sessions.

Thank you Dr. Caroline Leaf for this nugget!

This might be an unpopular opinion but I think in our efforts to be accepting, honoring, and inclusive of all we’ve actually forgotten a crucial part of human growth, development, and evolution.

It’s so important to step back and reflect “are my behaviors considerate, respectful, and supportive of relationships, workplaces, and/or community?”

We all have the capacity to evolve, even in small ways. When folks are too committed to their patterns and have a refusal to grow, we miss opportunities for connection and personal shifts.

Is growth or change easy? Probably not. Is it worth the effort? Always.

Be well—and be reflective of self.

A moment for this beautiful arrangement that I was surprised with on a muggy Monday!

What an absolute day and office brightener 💛🌻💐⭐️

I hope that each of you find joy and beauty this week—sometimes we have to hunt and dig for goodness, and other times it shows up in a mason jar with a smile 😊

Be well!

Fun update that will impact zero of you!!

I received the official word that I’m now licensed in North Dakota…

Do I know why I pursued this? Kinda, not really.
Do I know what I’m going to do with it? Also no. 😂

But opportunities have a funny way of showing up when you’re prepared, so I’m celebrating another milestone and embracing whatever doors this might open.

Until then, I’ll just be over here collecting professional licenses like they’re Pokémon cards.

💙💛Minnesota 🤝 North Dakota 💙🤍

Stay tuned while I figure out what to do with this newfound power….

Dialectical thinking: the radical idea that two things can be true at the same time.

You can be healing and still hurting.
Confident and anxious.
Doing your best and needing support.
Love someone deeply and need boundaries and space.

Turns out the world isn’t all-or-nothing…
