🚑 Emergency Room vs. Primary Care 🩺
Knowing where to go for care can save you time and help ensure you get the right treatment.
🏥 Go to the Emergency Room (ER) for:
• Chest pain or pressure
• Trouble breathing or shortness of breath
• Signs of stroke (face drooping, arm weakness, speech difficulty)
• Severe injuries, heavy bleeding, or major trauma
• Severe abdominal pain
• Loss of consciousness or seizures
• Fractures or sprains
• Cuts that may need stitches
👩‍⚕️ Go to Primary Care for:
• Routine checkups and preventive care
• Ongoing or chronic conditions
• Mild illnesses that aren’t improving
• Medication refills
• Flu-like symptoms without severe breathing issues
• Ear infections, sore throats, or sinus infections
• Minor burns or rashes
• Follow-up care
If you’re ever unsure, it’s always okay to seek emergency care or call ahead for guidance. Your health and safety come first.
