If the past few weeks have felt like a lot, hear this first: you're not imagining it, and you're not the only one. The sky is genuinely heavy right now, and there are real reasons for it.
For most of June we had a pile-up of planets in Cancer. Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter were all sitting there together, the Sun joined them on the 21st, and Venus and Jupiter met up close on June 9th, which is the kind of thing you feel right in your chest. Cancer is a water sign, and it rules the 4th house: home, family, the people and places that made you. So all of that feeling has been pointed straight at your softest spots. Venus and Jupiter have moved on now, but the Sun and Mercury are still there, and you're still feeling the wake of it. That heaviness in your body is not made up.
If you feel foggy right now, you're not alone. If you're carrying a tiredness that's heavier than usual and you can't explain it or shake it no matter how much you sleep, that's the planets asking you to slow down and rest. It isn't laziness, and there's nothing wrong with you. This is a normal response to what's happening overhead.
Here's what's sitting under that feeling. Saturn and Neptune in Aries are both squaring this part of the sky. Saturn is the one making everything feel like more: heavier, slower, more serious. Neptune is the one blurring the edges so you can't quite name why. If you've been telling yourself you should be handling this better, please stop. You're not crazy, and you're not behind. Two of the heaviest planets are leaning on you at once. Of course you're tired.
Now the piece I don't want you to underestimate. Uranus changed signs. Uranus only moves signs about once every seven years, so this is rare, and when it happens it doesn't gently shift one corner of your life, it flips it. It's now in Gemini, which runs talking, writing, information, phones, short trips, and the people you deal with day to day. Uranus is sudden by nature, and it can be genuinely shocking, the thing you didn't see coming even a week ago. A job or a whole industry that changes overnight. One conversation that undoes a plan you thought was locked. News that rearranges your entire week. A move or an ending that came out of nowhere. If your life has taken a sharp turn lately, this is very likely why, and it isn't random. Uranus clears things out to make room for something you couldn't have reached on your own.
The Strawberry Full Moon came in on June 29th. This is the first full moon after the summer solstice, the time of year when the sun is out longest and shining the most. Indigenous cultures named it for the ripening of June strawberries, a marker of things coming ripe and ready. I love reading it that way, because more light means more you can finally see. This one is in Capricorn, so what's coming up to be felt and released is tied to what you've built, what you're responsible for, and what you've been carrying for a long time. Let yourself actually feel it, and then set it down. That's what all this extra light is for.
And Mercury retrograde in Cancer, running through July 23rd. I know the usual line is don't do anything, don't sign anything, don't start anything. I don't agree with it, and honestly it's more pop astrology than real practice. Retrograde is some of the best thinking time of the whole year when you actually use it. It's made for going back through old feelings and family stuff, finishing conversations you never closed, taking a plan apart and rebuilding it until it's right, thinking things all the way through instead of rushing. The people who work with this energy come out with the clearest heads, not the emptiest calendars. On July 12th the Sun and Mercury meet, and you get one clear day in the middle of it all. Pay attention to what clicks for you then.
And there's real good news. Jupiter moved into Leo on June 29th for the first time in twelve years, so from here, warmth, creativity, confidence, and play all get more room to grow. On July 21st Jupiter and Uranus link up, which is the kind of contact that drops a genuine opening in your lap out of nowhere.
So if you're worn out, foggy, and a little raw right now, nothing is wrong with you. You're being asked to rest while it's heavy, to feel and release what the light is showing you, and to think slowly and carefully before the next chapter starts. Be gentle with yourself. You're not behind, and you're not alone.
