Happy Flag Day! Did you know the Missouri state flag was designed by Marie Watkins Oliver, who lived in this week’s featured location?

Step back in time and make your way to the Oliver House! When you arrive, the ticket tin is located on the front porch facing Adams Street. Visit whenever works best for your crew and pick up a ticket per person and a coloring sheet!

Good news! If you can’t visit Iron Mountain during the day, you have one more chance to get an evening tour. Drop in this Saturday between 5-7pm (tours will be available until the train leaves at 6:15, then you’ll need to visit the depot). The ticket tin will also be located outside the depot on Thursday and Friday evening for those who are not able to make it on Saturday.

Happy 100th birthday to the trains at Iron Mountain Railway! The birthday ride is about to depart, but you can still catch a glimpse of the festivities from 4-6pm today and pick up a Jackson Moves ticket.

All aboard! Make your plans to visit Iron Mountain Railway this coming week. It's a great time to visit, because... someone's celebrating a special birthday!

On June 7, two train cars will be turning 100 years old! While the birthday ride is sold out, you can stop by around 2 o’clock on Sunday to admire the attendees of a formal high tea (and of course, grab your Jackson Moves tickets from the depot).

If you can’t stop by on Sunday, railway volunteers will be available to give tours between 10:00am-4:00pm on Tuesday and Thursday. The Jackson Farmer’s Market also convenes on Tuesdays between 11:00am-4:00pm, so you can pick up some locally-sourced ingredients for your table.

Sunday, June 7: 11:00am-2:00pm, 4:00-6:00pm
Tuesday, June 9: 10:00am-4:00pm
Thursday, June 11: 10:00am-4:00pm

If you haven't ventured inside Riverside Regional Library yet, there's still a ticket calling your name!

Stop by today before 6:00pm or tomorrow before 4:00pm to stroll around the library, sign up for summer reading, and check out all the special programs happening this summer. Remember to collect one Jackson Moves ticket per person (and then, of course, decide where you're storing your tickets for safekeeping)!

We're starting the summer at Riverside Regional Library!

Visit the Jackson branch between Monday, June 1, and Saturday, June 6 for your chance to walk the library. Start your stroll at the front desk and follow their instructions to stamp a card at different sections, then return for a sticker. While you're there, be sure to get a library card (ages 3+) and sign up for the summer reading challenge (all ages)! And of course, don't forget to collect 1 ticket per person from the Jackson Moves ticket tin.

Monday-Friday: 8:00am-6:00pm
Saturday: 9:00am-4:00pm
Sunday: CLOSED
