Jaymeson Stroud, MD, board-certified radiation oncologist at Ackerman Cancer Center, had the pleasure of speaking today at the Rotary Club of South Jacksonville, sharing his expertise in cancer care and advancements in radiation oncology.

Dr. Stroud discussed Ackerman Cancer Center’s personalized approach to cancer treatment, including advanced radiation therapies and Proton Therapy, and the importance of providing patients with treatment options tailored to their individual needs.

✨ A Different Approach to Joint Pain
 
While at the 2026 NAPT Conference, Scot Ackerman, MD, FACR, joined David Raubach with Oklahoma Proton Center to discuss an exciting area of care now available at Ackerman Cancer Center: Low-Dose Radiation Therapy (LDRT) for osteoarthritis.
 
Using very small doses of radiation, LDRT is a gentle, noninvasive treatment designed to reduce inflammation in arthritic joints, helping relieve pain and stiffness and improve mobility.
 
In their conversation, Dr. Ackerman explains what LDRT is, who may benefit, and what patients can expect from the treatment process.
