๐Ÿ’œ Today is National Su***de Prevention Day | September 10 ๐Ÿ’œ

Today, we remind our community that every life matters, every story matters, and reaching out can make a difference.

You never know what someone may be carrying behind a smile. Take a moment to check in with the people you care about. Listen without judgment. Be present. Let them know they donโ€™t have to face difficult moments alone.

๐Ÿ’œ Ask. Listen. Support. Connect.
๐Ÿ’œ A simple โ€œHow are you really doing?โ€ can open the door to support.
๐Ÿ’œ Encourage those who are struggling to connect with a trusted person or professional.

If you or someone you know is struggling or needs immediate emotional support, call or text 988 to connect with the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

Together, we can create a community where reaching out for help is met with compassion, understanding, and hope.

๐Ÿ’œ National 988 Day | September 8 ๐Ÿ’œ

Today, weโ€™re reminding our community that help is available, hope is real, and you donโ€™t have to face a difficult moment alone.

If you or someone you care about is struggling, feeling overwhelmed, or experiencing thoughts of su***de, call or text 988 to connect with the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

๐Ÿ“ฑ Call or text: 988
๐Ÿ’ป Chat: 988lifeline.org

You donโ€™t have to have the โ€œright words.โ€ You donโ€™t have to wait until things get worse. Reaching out is a sign of strength.

๐Ÿ’œ Check on your people.
๐Ÿ’œ Listen without judgment.
๐Ÿ’œ Take warning signs seriously.
๐Ÿ’œ Remind someone that they matter.

One conversation can make a difference. One connection can bring hope.

๐Ÿ’œ MIDWEEK MENTAL HEALTH CHECK-IN ๐Ÿ’œ

Itโ€™s Wednesday. Take a moment to pause, breathe, and check in with yourself.

โœจ How are you really doing today?
โœจ What has been weighing on your heart or mind?
โœจ What do you need more of right nowโ€”rest, support, connection, or a little kindness?

Remember: You donโ€™t have to have everything figured out today. Reaching out for support is a sign of strength, not weakness.

๐Ÿ’œ Check in with someone you care about, too. A simple โ€œHow are you really doing?โ€ can open the door to an important conversation.

You matter. Your story matters. Your life matters.

During Su***de Prevention Month, letโ€™s remind one another that no one has to face difficult moments alone.

So honored that Gigi Galloway Liljegren allowed me/us to share her post:

Blake and I had planned on getting a tattoo together at some point. He didnโ€™t know that I had sketched a design that included the semi colon symbol for mental health awareness as a part of it. He was working so hard to get to a better place and I wanted to celebrate that with him. I came across that sketch recently and decided to use it to honor him and help spread more awareness about mental health.

Blake loved Cole Swindell and would have loved seeing him at the fair this year.

So here is my message to anyone thatโ€™s hurting right now:

You should be here, so please stay. ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ™

You matter, your life matters. The people that love you would want you here. Please reach out if you need help. I can tell you first hand, that the people who love you would rather be here for you in your hardest hours than go through this life without you.

If sharing our story helps someone reach out for help, then I will know that Blake is still making an impact on others in our community.

That you to Rick Rolson at Outbreak Designs for helping me with this little project. ๐Ÿ™

I will be at 37 South Boutique & Makery Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. if you want a free koozie to keep your drink cold at the fair Saturday night. Stop by and get one from me. ๐Ÿงก

Love,
Blakeโ€™s mom ๐Ÿงก
