Mobility Worldwide

Mobility Worldwide Our mission is to empower people with the freedom of mobility, enhancing their quality of life, independence, and ability to participate in their communities.

We’ve spent the past 30+ years developing, producing, and distributing our Mobility Carts. PET International envisions a ten-fold increase in PET production and distribution by 2015.

Is what our mission is all about.

This young man lost both his legs earlier this year due to a train accident.

Our team in Zambia, Africa was able to deliver a Mobility Cart directly to his home.

You have the power to change one persons life forever.

Join us.

Finally, the moment a Mobility Cart reaches its recipient.

But here’s what you don’t see:

The volunteers who built it.
The donors who funded the materials and transportation.
The partners who helped move it across miles and borders.
And the people on the ground who made sure it reached the person it was built to serve.

So many hands are behind every Mobility Cart we deliver.

This is the moment we’re all working toward.

Meet two of the speakers joining us at this year’s Mobility Worldwide Annual Conference: David Vader and Matthew Wilkins.

David is a Professor Emeritus of Engineering at Messiah University and co-founder of the Collaboratory, where students put their engineering skills to work on projects that serve communities around the world. He continues to serve the Collaboratory as Manager for the Mobility project team, helping develop mobility solutions that give people greater independence and opportunity to participate in family and community life.

Matthew serves as Director of the Collaboratory for Strategic Partnerships and Applied Research, leading interdisciplinary engineering initiatives and building partnerships that connect technical expertise with meaningful service.

At this year’s conference, David will speak alongside Matthew for a workshop exploring collaboration and lessons learned through their work at the Collaboratory, and how we can apply those lessons to strengthen partnerships and expand our impact across the Mobility Worldwide community.

We’re looking forward to welcoming David and Matthew to Penney Farms, Florida, this October!

Mobility Carts change more than one life.

This little guy was so excited for his mom to receive her new Mobility Cart that he hopped right in the back and didn’t want to get out.

One Mobility Cart can make a difference for an entire family.

A shipment of Mobility Carts has arrived in Kabala in Northern Sierra Leone!

These carts traveled all the way from Leighton, Iowa, and are about to be distributed to people in need of mobility.

Every shipment is a celebration and brings new hope to the communities that Mobility Worldwide - Sierra Leone serves. We can’t wait to see these carts reach their new owners!

On our final day in Zambia, our hosts, Delbert and Sandy from Mobility International Mission , showed us the incredible Victoria Falls.

We arrived just in time to see not only a rainbow, but a solar rainbow too! If you look closely, you can see that the colors of the solar rainbow appear in reverse order.

We couldn’t believe our time in Zambia had already come to an end. It was an incredible week of service and experiences that none of us will forget,

Day 4 in Zambia brought another day of Mobility Cart distributions.

We delivered 12 Mobility Carts to a local community, serving people of all ages, from young children and a mother to older adults. We were honored to help bring mobility to each person.

You could hear cheers, hooting, and hollering filled as the Mobility Carts were distributed. The excitement was palpable.

These carts had been assembled just days earlier by our entire crew, making the delivery even more special. Some were carts that Ted, Danilo, and Dylan had helped build back in Texas before making their way across the world to Zambia.

We all agreed that this is a day we will never forget.

On our second day in Zambia, we loaded up the van and headed out for the day! We had the incredible opportunity to deliver three Mobility Carts directly to recipients at their homes.

Kelsey, Ted, Danilo, and Dylan each got to deliver carts they helped assemble the previous day, making these distributions even more meaningful.

Getting to meet each recipient and hear their story had a lasting impact on all of us and reminded us why our mission is so important.

We can’t wait to share more from our time in Zambia and the stories of the people we met.

Some gifts don’t feel life-changing.

Until they are.

For just $11 a month—less than the cost of lunch—you can help provide mobility to someone who has spent years relying on others or unable to reach school or work.

A monthly gift may feel small to you, but to someone receiving a Mobility Cart, it means more than you know. It can mean opening the door to more independence and new opportunities.
