🧽 Did You Know? Cleaning, Sanitizing, and Disinfecting Are NOT the Same Thing!

When it comes to maintaining a healthy workplace, understanding the difference matters!

Cleaning: Removes dirt, dust, debris, and many germs from surfaces using soap or detergent and water. It's the essential first step in maintaining a clean facility.

Sanitizing: Reduces the number of germs on surfaces to levels considered safe by public health standards. It's especially useful in areas where hygiene is a priority.

Disinfecting: Uses specialized products to kill or inactivate certain germs, including bacteria and viruses, when used according to the product's label instructions.

So, why does choosing the right process matter?

Because not every surface needs the same treatment!

A dusty desk may simply need cleaning, while certain high-touch surfaces or areas exposed to illness may benefit from proper disinfection.

And here's something important: Disinfectants don't work instantly! They must remain on the surface for the required contact time listed on the product label to be effective.
