Sometimes we have been taught that wanting more makes us selfish.
That having desires means we are not grateful for what we already have.
That being spiritual means surrendering what we want, needing less, or simply accepting whatever life gives us.
But I don't believe our desires are the problem.
Our desires can show us where life is asking us to expand, what we are ready to experience, and what parts of ourselves are asking to be expressed.
The deeper question may be:
Can I honor what I want without needing to control someone else, manipulate an outcome, or make another person's needs less important than my own?
There is a difference between desire and control.
There is a difference between saying, “I want this,” and saying, “I need this to happen exactly this way in order for me to be okay.”
And sometimes the work is simply giving ourselves permission to tell the truth:
I want more.
I want to experience more.
I want to create more.
I want to become more of who I know myself to be.
Not because this moment isn't enough.
But because something inside of us is calling us forward.
This is the kind of deeper self-reflection we explore inside Your Authentic SELF Collective looking underneath our beliefs, fears, patterns, and conditioning so we can begin making choices from our truth rather than from what we were taught we should want or who we were taught we should be.
If you are ready to quiet the outside noise, reconnect with your own inner guidance, and begin remembering more of your Authentic SELF, I would love to welcome you into the community.
