I’ve had a lot of changes recently, and I’m feeling them in some conflicting ways. I try to be open and honest here about how this stuff shows up in my life so here we go.
Between surgery, life stress, medication changes, yada yada yada…the scale is up about 7 pounds from where I usually feel most comfortable.
I definitely have moments where I think, “Ugh… I need to lose weight. This is a little high for me.” Because it is a bigger number than I’m used to. We all have that number I think.
But at the same time, I’m feeling really freaking good.
My workouts feel strong. My energy is good. I feel healthy. I feel sexy when I’m with my husband 👀
So I’m learning to get more comfortable with the idea that I can have physique goals AND still feel good in my body today.
Has anyone else felt like this?
Like, “I feel fine, but is this my new normal? Okay…I guess? But maybe not?” 😂
I honestly think that’s just part of being human (especially as women). Our bodies aren’t static. Life happens. Hormones happen.
I actually took these check-in videos because I wanted to see if my brain was telling me the truth.
When I watched them back, I thought, “Huh… yeah. I actually look pretty similar to my baseline.”
That was a good reminder that my perception isn’t always reality.
Do I still want to lean back out eventually?
Absolutely.
But I’m trying really hard not to spend this season of my life waiting to feel confident until I weigh a certain number.
Instead, I’m paying more attention to how I feel.
My energy, mood, workouts, the memories I’m making and how I’m showing up for my family and friends.
Because I think that’s a much better way to live ❤️
