💧 Why Choose Water? Tips for Keeping It Going

Water is one of the best ways to hydrate your body. It contains no calories, helps regulate body temperature, supports many of your body’s functions, and can help you feel refreshed throughout the day.

Sometimes when we feel snackish, we’re actually thirsty. Drinking water first can help you determine whether you’re truly hungry or just in need of hydration. Having water before meals can also help you slow down and be more mindful of portions.

One of the biggest things that helped me increase my water intake was simply keeping water with me all the time.

I personally love ice-cold water, so I invested in a 40 oz insulated cup. I keep one with me at home and another at my desk at work. I also have smaller 20 oz cups and bottles for when I’m on the go.

Making water convenient made all the difference for me. If it’s within reach, I’m much more likely to drink it throughout the day.

What helps you drink more water? Do you have a favorite water bottle, cup, flavor add-in, or hydration tip? Share below! 💙💧

Why Spend Time Outside? 🌿

Fresh air, sunshine, and time in nature can do wonders for both our physical and mental well-being.

Spending time outdoors has been shown to help reduce stress, improve mood, increase focus, and even boost creativity. It can also support your immune system and help your body maintain healthy vitamin D levels.

For me, I’d choose a walk outside over a walk on a treadmill any day. There’s something refreshing about being surrounded by nature, hearing the birds, feeling the breeze, and taking a break from the demands of everyday life.
The best part is that being outdoors doesn’t have to mean exercise. Taking a stroll on a walking trail, sitting by a lake, gardening, visiting a park, or simply enjoying your morning coffee outside are all great ways to connect with nature and give your mind a chance to recharge. 🌿☀️

Nothing going on this weekend and finding yourself reaching for snacks out of boredom? Get active!

Go for a walk—it looks like it’s going to be a beautiful weekend for it. Use the extra time to start that craft or project you’ve been thinking about and keep your hands and mind occupied.

Take some time to pamper yourself with an at-home spa day. Call a friend and see if they’re up for a thrifting adventure. Read a book. Work in the garden. Tackle a small project around the house.

Food doesn’t have to be the cure for boredom. Fill your time with activities that bring you joy, help you relax, or get you moving. 🙌🏻💪🏻❤️

You can be busy and still stay on your wellness path. How do we do that? Planning.

If you have events coming up, make a plan for your food. Eat before you go, pack nutritious options, or leave room in your day to enjoy a treat. All of these strategies can work.

Don’t go in blind—you’ll only frustrate yourself. We can have fun, enjoy special occasions, and still be wellness-minded. 🙌🏻💪🏻❤️

Thinking about wellness as an overall lifestyle rather than focusing on a single goal can be helpful because our health goals are all connected.

If your goal is weight loss, being mindful of calorie intake is important, and maintaining a calorie deficit is necessary for losing weight. Physical activity can help support that goal.

If your goal is improving energy levels, the food you eat plays a major role, but quality sleep is also essential. Better energy often makes it easier to be more active throughout the day.

If your goal is better sleep, managing stress, staying active, eating a balanced diet, and building time for rest into your routine can all contribute to improved sleep quality.

If your goal is building strength and muscle tone, both nutrition and physical activity are key, but adequate sleep and energy levels are important for recovery and performance as well.

All of these factors contribute to overall wellness, and each one influences the others. What I found in my own journey is that working on all aspects of wellness created benefits in multiple areas of my life, often helping me reach goals I wasn’t even directly focused on.
