One of the biggest mistakes I see women make in perimenopause is assuming they need more discipline.
More restriction.
More cardio.
More pushing through exhaustion.
Most of the women I work with are already working incredibly hard.
They're taking care of families, careers, aging parents, relationships, and somehow trying to prioritize their health too.
The problem isn't usually a lack of effort.
The problem is that the strategies that worked at 25 often stop working at 45.
Your body is changing. Hormones are changing. Recovery needs change.
That doesn't mean you're failing.
It means it's time for a different approach.
Instead of asking, "How can I push harder?"
Try asking:
• How can I support my body better?
• Am I eating enough protein?
• Am I strength training consistently?
• Am I prioritizing sleep?
• Am I managing stress in a way that actually helps?
Small, sustainable habits will almost always outperform extreme plans that leave you exhausted.
You don't need to be perfect.
You just need a plan that works with your body instead of against it.
If you're feeling stuck and wondering why your old strategies aren't working anymore, you're not alone. There are answers, and there is a path forward. đź’›
