I am living as both an insider and outsider of a deeply broken medical system.

I have been crafting an antidote, slowly and intentionally.

In between my patients and clinic days.
In between my own hard moments.

Walk with me towards something better.

The Divergent Village is almost here.

The unique wiring of neurodivergent brains is often limited by the language we used to describe them.

Defiant.
Manipulative.
Controlling.
Lazy.
Too much.
Too sensitive.
Too quiet.
Awkward.
Weird.
Annoying.

I have never been very interested in stopping there.

There is always more underneath those observations.

That is where our adventure begins.

I wanted to share something that I’ve been building quietly in the background.

The Divergent Village is a professional side project, but it comes from the same heart of the work so many of you have trusted me with for years: helping neurodivergent kids, families, caregivers, educators, and clinicians feel less alone and better understood.

For a long time, I’ve wished families had more accessible support outside the walls of an appointment. More plain-language education. More tools. More connection. More ways to understand the child underneath the behavior and the nervous system underneath the child.

So I’m building that, slowly and intentionally.

To every family who has trusted me with your story, your child, your questions, and your hard moments: thank you. That trust has shaped this work in ways I will never take lightly.

The goal is simple, even if the work is big:

A more accessible future for neurodivergent humans and the people who love, teach, support, and care for them.

Please follow the new business page, and if you know a parent, caregiver, educator, clinician, or neurodivergent human who might benefit, I would be so grateful if you shared it with them.

This is just the beginning.

The release of today’s Make Our Children Healthy Again report reminds us that improving the health of children is complex and requires coordinated support at local, state and federal levels, including education, awareness, policy and funding. We welcome opportunities to add pediatric expertise and research to help guide actions toward meaningful and sustainable improvements in child health.

Although the report touches on some of these areas, it lacks details on how the Administration plans to address those issues and omits key drivers that harm children’s health, including gun violence and environmental hazards. We also cannot ignore the fact that this report is being published in the context of other recent harmful actions by the Administration and Congress that undermine many of the report’s recommendations.
