Your teen passed the test and earned their driver's license... congratulations! But the learning doesn't stop here.

The first year of driving is when teens gain the most real-world experience. As a parent, you still play one of the biggest roles in helping them become a safe, confident driver.

Here are a few ways to keep them on the right road:

🛣️ Ride along occasionally and offer calm, constructive feedback.
📵 Remind them that phones can wait—no text is worth a crash.
🚗 Encourage them to obey speed limits and leave plenty of following distance.
🌧️ Help them practice driving in rain, at night, and in different traffic conditions.
👥 Limit passengers. More friends can mean more distractions.
🪑 Buckle up—every person, every seat, every ride.
💬 Keep the conversation going. Ask about situations they encountered and how they handled them.

🔧 DO IT RIGHT. LATCH IT DOWN!

You don't have to be an engineer to install your child's car seat with the LATCH system—but a few simple tips can make a big difference!

✅ Keep the lower anchor hooks facing DOWN.

Why?
⬇️ Hooks facing down are usually easier to remove when it's time to uninstall the seat.
⬆️ If the hooks are installed facing up, that's not how engineers designed it to work it's best and may not function as intended.

Tips:
✔️ Attach each hook to the correct lower anchor.
✔️ Tighten the strap until there's less than 1 inch of movement at the belt path.
✔️ Double-check your car seat and vehicle owner's manuals for any manufacturer-specific instructions.

A few extra seconds now can help make every ride a safer one.

❗️Evenflo Company, Inc. (Evenflo) is recalling certain Reo by Revolve360 child seats in color variants Nantucket, Danvers, Chelsea, Holden, Brookline, and Lenox. Affected models begin with model number CS26021 and were sold between March 2025 and June 30, 2026. In certain rear-facing or forward-facing positions, the headrest may shift position during a crash.

We all love celebrating milestones, but when it comes to car seats, graduating too soon isn't something to celebrate.

Just because your child can move to the next stage doesn't always mean they should.

🚗 Stay rear-facing as long as your car seat allows.
🚗 Keep your child in a harness until they outgrow the harness limits.
🚗 Use a booster until the vehicle seat belt fits properly—typically when they're 4'9" tall and between 8–12 years old.

Every step up in a car seat offers less protection than the step before it. The safest choice is to keep your child in the current stage until they've truly outgrown it.

🎉 The best graduation is the one that happens at the right time—not the first chance you get!

🚗 Chest Clip Check! It Belongs at Armpit Level!

Whether your child rides rear-facing or forward-facing, the chest clip works best when it's positioned at armpit level.

✅ Keep the harness snug—you shouldn't be able to pinch any slack at the shoulders.
✅ A snug harness also makes it harder for busy toddlers to slide the chest clip down.
✅ The chest clip's job is to help keep the harness straps properly positioned on your child's shoulders during a crash.

Every ride is a good time for a quick Chest Clip Check. It only takes a few seconds, but it can make a big difference.
