Tonight’s UAC group stepped into the rage room… and it did not disappoint! 💥🧨

Sometimes healthy emotional release looks different, and tonight was the perfect reminder that it’s okay to let it out in a safe, controlled environment. Lots of laughs, stress relief, and unforgettable memories. 10/10 recommend! 💙

💦☀️ Today’s UAC group was all about fun, connection, and making memories! We spent the day at the YMCA swimming, laughing, and enjoying time together outside of our normal routine.

Sometimes the best moments happen when youth have the chance to simply be kids, build relationships, and enjoy positive experiences in a safe and supportive environment. 🩵

🎳 Yesterday’s group was right up our alley!

Our UAC youth group hit the bowling lanes for an afternoon of fun, connection, and healthy competition. While it may have looked like just a game of bowling, moments like these help build confidence, strengthen relationships, encourage teamwork, and create positive outlets for managing stress.

There were plenty of laughs, a few celebrations, and maybe even some friendly debates over whose score counted the most. 😄

At Using Athletics to Cope, we believe healing and growth can happen through movement, connection, and shared experiences.

One frame, one conversation, and one relationship at a time. 💙

Yesterday’s activity with our kiddos sparked some REAL conversations. 💛💙❤️

We worked through coping skills by sorting them into three categories:
Healthy
Depends
Unhealthy

And listen… we might have a few future lawyers and debators in this group because EVERY answer came with a debate. 😂

“Wait… but what if…”
“Okay but in THIS situation…”
“No because that could actually help somebody…”

And honestly? That was the best part.

The activity wasn’t about getting the “perfect” answer. It was about helping youth think critically about their choices, emotions, reactions, and coping habits.

Because life isn’t always black and white.

Some coping skills help us heal.
Some hurt us.
And some truly depend on the situation, intention, and balance.

At Using Athletics to Cope, we’re creating spaces where young people can learn emotional regulation, communication, self awareness, and healthy coping skills in ways that actually connect with them.

One conversation at a time.
One debate at a time.
One breakthrough at a time. 🫶

Kingsport and surrounding areas, we still have a few spots open for our 3v3 youth basketball tournament on May 30th! 💙💛

Parents, if your kiddo is between the ages of 10 and 18 and loves basketball, this is a great chance to get them signed up, active, connected, and involved in something positive right here in the community.

We currently have about 3 to 4 open team slots available. Each team needs 3 players, so grab two friends, cousins, teammates, or classmates and get registered.

This is part of our Move Your Mind Youth Mental Health and Community Event hosted by Using Athletics to Cope. We will have basketball, field activities, food, vendors, resources, and a whole day centered around movement, wellness, and community.

Date: May 30th
Time: 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Location: V.O. Dobbins Sr. Complex in Kingsport, TN
Ages: 10 to 18
Cost: Free community event

Registration is required to participate in the tournament, and spots are limited.

Scan the QR code on the flyer or email [email protected] with questions.

Let’s give our youth something positive to show up for. Sign those kiddos up! 🏀

We got better today. Period.

Not just on the court — in confidence, in focus, in belief. You could see it shift play by play. Head up a little higher. Feet moving a little quicker. Voice a little louder.

That’s what this is about. Not just drills. Not just shots. Growth.

Proud is an understatement.

I’m honored to share that my new eBook is currently the number 1 New Release on Amazon. I’m incredibly grateful for the support from my friends, family, and everyone who has stood behind this journey—your encouragement means more than I can express.

This book is deeply personal and written from a place of honesty and vulnerability.

If you haven’t yet picked up your copy, it’s available now on Amazon. This work is for athletes navigating life during competition, the often-unspoken trauma that can follow sports, and the difficult process of moving forward when grief and loss enter the picture.

Thank you for being part of this moment with me. 👇🏽Link in Bio!
