SEPTEMBERS MESSAGES:

Some of the people who will know you best are still strangers to you. You have not heard their laugh yet. You do not know the stories they will tell you a hundred times, the places you will go together, or the version of yourself that will exist because you knew them. There are people you have not met who will someday be woven so naturally into your life that it will feel impossible to remember what your world looked like before them.

Remember this when loneliness convinces you that the people currently in your life are the only people there will ever be. Your social world is not finished. Your love story is not limited to the people you have already loved. There are friendships that will make adulthood feel less lonely, collaborators who will believe in something you almost gave up on, mentors who will change what you think is possible, and someone you may meet on a completely ordinary day who eventually becomes one of the most important people in your life.

So leave some room in September for people you cannot picture yet. Say yes to the invitation. Talk to the person beside you. Go somewhere new. Let yourself be seen. You have already met so many people who taught you what connection should never feel like. Imagine how beautiful it will be to start meeting the ones who show you what it can.
