Thank you all for supporting my small business. 🪁

Every like, comment, share, tag, recommendation, and referral has played a part in getting Blooming Speech Therapy to where it is today.

Lately, I've found my business receiving referrals from places all over Missouri, including communities I have never lived in, worked in, or advertised in. Every time that happens, I am reminded that someone took the time to mention Blooming Speech Therapy in a conversation, share a post, recommend my services, or tell someone about a positive experience.

When I started Blooming Speech Therapy, I never imagined the reach it would have. Seeing families, physicians, educators, and other professionals continue to share my name with others is something I'll never take for granted. That kind of support cannot be bought. It happens because people believe in what I'm building & choose to tell others about it.

The exciting part is that I'm just getting started. 🌱

There are some big changes, new opportunities, and exciting growth on the horizon for Blooming Speech Therapy. While I can't share all the details quite yet, I can tell you this is only the beginning.

Every year, the weather gets nice and I become significantly less productive in all the areas I’m supposed to be productive. ☀️🌱

I’ve traded house chores, social media graphic creation + perfectly planned content for ball fields, flower beds, bird watching, and whatever vegetable in the garden is demanding my attention that day. 🤷‍♀️

Today (actually 3 days ago because that’s how life works around here 🙃), we’re packing up all of May’s gardening and treehouse-themed materials and giving the therapy room its monthly reset!

Stay tuned for June’s therapy theme and materials!

Any guesses what we’re doing this month? 👀 (Those of you who have already had therapy are disqualified from answering)

Laundry day just got a language boost! 🧺✨

Turn an everyday chore into a playful learning opportunity with this simple Laundry Sort & Learn Game. As you sort and fold together, you’re also building communication skills in a natural, meaningful way.

Try modeling and expanding language as you go:
🧦 “Sock!” → “Blue sock!”
👕 “Shirt!” → “Daddy’s big shirt!”
🩳 “Pants!” → “Soft, cozy pants!”

Encourage your child to describe, compare, and categorize by sorting laundry by:
• Item
• Color
• Size
• Owner

Ask questions to spark conversation:
💬 “Who does this belong to?”
💬 “Can you find something red?”
💬 “Which one is the biggest?”
💬 “What do we wear on our feet?”

🌟 Tip: Before tossing out old, holey socks, turn them into sock puppets for a silly puppet show full of storytelling and imagination!

No flashcards or fancy materials needed, just real-life moments filled with language, learning, and connection. Small routines like these help communication skills bloom. 🌸
