It feels like we blinked, and suddenly the long, hot summer days are behind us! The beach is a little quieter and the air is cooler. Fall is here!

🎉🎂 Birthdays are always worth celebrating at Changing Tides OBX! 🎂🎉

We had a little birthday celebration for three very special members of our Changing Tides family — Dr. Angel Barrino, Dr. Richard Martin, and Grayson Lindquist! 🥳

We took some time to enjoy some good food, sweet treats, laughter, and, of course, celebrate our birthday crew!

🌊 We weathered the storm — and then we walked together. 💙

After a couple days of wild Outer Banks weather, we were grateful to see the skies clear just in time to come together for the Walk Against Addiction on Saturday.

A huge thank you to the Changing Tides staff who attended, those who worked to keep things running back at the program, and those who volunteered their own time to be there and support such an important cause. That kind of commitment says so much about the people who make Changing Tides what it is.

And of course, Teddy was there representing the Changing Tides team too! 🐾💙 As our therapy dog in training, Teddy is already a pretty important member of the Changing Tides family — and he certainly wasn’t going to miss this one. He was on the lookout for people to drop donuts or candy he isn't too picky.

Changing Tides truly is a family-run program, and that feeling of family extends far beyond our own walls. We show up for our clients, for one another, and for our recovery community.

Today was a good reminder that storms pass, people come together, and Change IS Possible. 🌊💙

🌊 Even Nor’easters Can’t Stop the Changing Tides! 🌊

The wind is howling, the waves are crashing, and the Outer Banks is showing us just how powerful Mother Nature can be! 🌧️💨

Here at Changing Tides, we know a thing or two about weathering storms. Recovery isn’t always sunshine and calm seas. Sometimes the waves get rough, the winds pick up, and all you can do is hold on, lean on the people around you, and trust that the storm will eventually pass.

Today, we’re staying cozy, keeping each other company, and watching the ocean put on quite a show! Even on the stormiest days, there’s something pretty special about being right here on the beach.

Just a little reminder from all of us at Changing Tides: No storm lasts forever, and calmer waters are always worth working toward. 💙
