Many new parents are caught off-guard by the demands and difficulties that come with caring for a newborn while healing from birth. It can be both very physically and mentally demanding. Planning ahead and investing in your postpartum care and well-being can dramatically improve your overall experience in both healing and bonding with your new baby.

There are a variety of professionals that can help you postpartum, and learning more about what they can offer and how they support you can help you find the right fit.
You can weigh your options and decide on the right team for you to plan for a successful postpartum experience!

What better way to close out World Doula Week, than helping to support an incredibly strong woman while she and her partner welcome their third baby? When they asked me to support them again, I was over the moon, and very anxious that I might not make it to Bristol in time. (The last baby came FAST!) I am so proud for her endurance and her ability to listen to her body and communicate her needs. She was able to advocate for herself to get the birth she wanted, and the birthing team at was fantastic!

Each birth is so different, asking questions, listening and adapting to the needs and wants of each individual birthing person.. and each one is unique and special and exciting! I love this role and I love all of the families that I've had the honor of supporting.

Also, I have a lot of placenta photos on my phone because I think they're the most amazing thing ever.. sorry. 😂♥️
