Abbey was in group fitness classes several times a week. Sweating, showing up, doing every single thing she’d been told to do. And her body wasn’t changing.
She wasn’t lazy. She wasn’t skipping workouts. She was working hard and getting nothing back for it.
And she was so tired. Tired and starting to wonder if this was just what perimenopause was going to be from here on out.
That’s the lie, Diva. Not that you’re not working hard enough. That nobody ever told you the rules changed.
So no, when Abbey came to me the answer was not “wow girl, sounds like you need to exercise more.” 😂
Two things were actually wrong. She wasn’t eating enough to support what she was asking her body to do. And she’d never been taught how to lift and progress her workouts.
So we cut the classes down to two a week, because cardio isn’t the enemy, it just isn’t the foundation. We put her on real strength training with progression and a plan. And we fed her enough to build on.
She’s walking through perimenopause, so every pound of muscle we build right now is muscle she gets to keep for the next thirty years.
One month in:
9 pounds down.
6 inches gone.
3% body fat.
ONE MONTH.
She’s not tired anymore. She’s not guessing anymore. And she finally knows none of it was her fault.
Abbey didn’t need to do more. She needed her hard work to finally have somewhere to go.
Abbey, I am so freaking proud of you. 👏
I’ve got 3 spots open. If you’re already busting your butt and getting nowhere, comment READY and let’s look at what you’re actually doing before you cut one more calorie.
