Who knew that a kid from Thailand was going to end up earning the love of someone as special as Kendall Reusing (Jiu Jitsu Athlete & Coach)

How did I do it?

I couldn’t even tell you but I was influenced by some great minds and hard workers.

Humble beginnings are an advantage if you don’t play victim

Your 20s and 30s are the time to work yourself to near death while others search for short term pleasure

You will have a lot of days of not knowing if you can pay your bills or if your company will survive

Fear, doubt and worry come knocking every day, ignore and keep pushing

You will feel like it’s never enough (it isn’t)

It doesn’t cost money to help people, only time and energy (your most valuable asset)

Be known for doing good things (you’re still a villain in someone’s story)

You will appear to be thriving when you’re on the verge of collapse

Make sure you are doing something you really believe in because the cost is a lot of pain and suffering

It’s better to be lucky than good, but work hard for when you aren’t lucky

There are no guarantees but beyond your comfort zone, it’s all worth it

Who you marry, is the most important decision you’ll ever make, the right person will love you for who you are while challenging you to expand your vision

Something that I try to remind myself of constantly, is what my long time friend and mentor has stated in so simple an utterance, “everything is hard”. Me getting my elbow dislocated after dealing with an ACL/meniscus and shoulder surgery the past two years… When you play with fire, sometimes you get burned. Recently I was set to compete in ADCC’s Open tournament just days before the highly anticipated and prestigious Pro Event for trials winners and returning champions or medalists. ADCC has been colloquially dubbed “the Olympics of Jiu Jitsu” due to the fact it takes place every two years along with the incredible talent of participants, where one might face a two-time, back to back ADCC champion like JT Torres or a seven time IBJJF World champion and two-time ADCC champion first round like my Sensei Xande Ribeiro....
