PSA:
Has your loved one been kicked out of a memory care or similar facility for disruptive behavior?
Adult Family Homes are another option.
An adult family home is a state-inspected and approved (DSHS) facility licensed to care for up to 6 residents at a time, generally with 2 caregivers or more on duty 24/7. This gives your loved one more one-on-one attention than they would receive at a larger facility; making them efficient in dealing with patients who exhibit disruptive/aggressive behavior due to dementia, Parkinson’s, or other mental health diseases.
Furthermore, adult family homes are willing to accept Medicaid so that families need not worry about running out of money to pay for care.
