It was a pleasure to be invited by Alexis Hunter to facilitate a Community Health Worker Peer Support Group on the Live Healthy Spartanburg platform today.

We spoke about the Power of Agreement, but with a twist. Often we share the positives to the power of agreement, and there are many, yet today, I asked them to dig deep and think about how that power of agreement can lead to burnout and exhaustion when our yes no longer aligns with who we are becoming and/or our present seasons.

There are seasons where it feels like everything is heavy. Where your mind won’t slow down, your heart is tired, and the battle feels constant.

And if we’re all honest, sometimes the last thing we feel like doing is praising God. It takes energy to open our mouths in the midst of hard times.

But that’s exactly where the shift happens.

I wrote “The Secret Weapon: 30 Days of Praise” for the moments when life feels unexplainable, overwhelming, or just plain hard. This isn’t about pretending everything is okay; it’s about using what God already gave us to fight back.

Praise changes your perspective.
It quiets the noise.
It invites God’s presence into the middle of the chaos.

No, the battle isn’t yours to carry, but we all have weaponry we can use: praise is your weapon.

Two things have been consistent about me for as long as I can remember:
1. Taking naps 😴 and
2. Writing ✍🏾

(Not always in that order, but definitely the most reliable parts of my life 😂🫶🏾).

Now I will be offering my writing services on Fiverr! Blogs, content, website copy, prayers, yoga scripts, you name it, I’ll write it. 🖊️

✨ On another note, this is also an appreciation post: I published my first book in 2016, and nearly a decade later, my Mom still surprises me by ordering books for me to sign so she can gift them to her friends. Her support means the world to me, she’s truly my #1 promoter 🙏🏾❤️.
