We are here to compassionately guide you through progressive illness and end-of-life using a holistic model of care.

Anam Cara Caregiving provides custom care near the end of life, offering caregiving support and bedside care at any stage of aging and dying so residents of Fremont County have the option to stay at home as the need for assistance increases over time. ANAM CARA
is a Gaelic phrase which loosely
translates as ‘Soul friend.’

Our beloved RN Case Manager, Julie, is stepping away from her current position with Anam Cara to take on a very special new role—Granny Nanny! What an incredible gift for Julie’s daughter and her new grandbaby. We are going to miss having Julie with us every day. But thankfully, we aren’t losing her completely! Julie will continue helping with on-call coverage and as-needed RN support.

And now some exciting news…

We are thrilled to welcome Sierra Zacks to the Anam Cara family as our new full-time RN! Sierra has primarily been a trauma nurse in the ER, including here in Lander. She is a natural leader and an excellent nurse, but what impressed me most is her presence, calm nature, and listening superpower.

Sierra’s grandmother passed away in January, and she described the experience of being with her at the end of her life as “magical.” It left her yearning for a different experience in medicine and caregiving—one rooted in relationship and connection, slowing down, being present, truly listening, and allowing people to guide their own care.

And then Anam Cara appeared! There is something about bringing Sierra into the team that feels a little magical—like she was meant to find us and we were meant to find her. I have no doubt that we will be blessed by her leadership, warm heart, calm presence, and nursing expertise.
