Waiting until January to start your health journey?

The longer you wait, the longer you stay stuck in the same cycle of starting over, losing momentum, and putting your goals on hold.

That “perfect time” may never come.

There will always be a new Monday, a busy season, or another reason to wait. But lasting health changes don’t come from delaying action or restarting every few months—they come from building habits you can actually maintain.

You don’t need another quick fix or a strict 90-day plan. You need a sustainable approach that fits your life, supports your goals, and helps you stay consistent even when motivation fades.

If you’re tired of waiting and ready to stop starting over, now is the time to take action. The sooner you schedule your consultation, the sooner you can create a clear, personalized plan and begin making progress before January arrives.

📞 Call 248-206-5488 today to schedule your consultation. Don’t wait for a new year to change your life—take the first step now.

You don’t have to wait until January. Your future self will thank you for starting today. 🤍

Are you in your 40s or 50s and suddenly gaining weight despite eating less and working out more?
You are not imagining this. And it is NOT your fault. During perimenopause and menopause there is a shift in hormones. These can shift your metabolism, sleep, insulin sensitivity and where your body stores fat.
Instead of eating less focus on what your body needs most:
☑️Prioritize sleep
☑️Manage stress and cortisol
☑️Optimize hormone health when appropriate
☑️Prioritize protein intake
☑️Strength train consistently
☑️Support healthy blood sugar
☑️Prioritize gut health and microbiome

The goal isn’t to punish your body- it’s to work with it.

Menopause isn’t the end of your metabolism. It’s the beginning of a new strategy🌿

💬What’s the biggest challenge you’ve experienced during perimenopause?

3 Hormones Control The Shape Of Your Body:

• Cortisol = Belly
• Estrogen = Hips & thighs
• Insulin = Lower belly & back

Here are 7 ways to rebalance each one:

1. Start your morning with sunlight.

• Step outside for 5 to 10 minutes when you wake
• Skip the sunglasses for those few minutes

Morning light tells your cortisol to spike early and fall by night, instead of staying high and storing belly fat.

2. Lift heavy 2 to 4 times a week.

• Squat, hinge, push, pull, carry
• Add weight over time

Muscle makes your body more sensitive to insulin and steadies all three hormones.

It's the single best thing you can do for your shape.

3. Build every meal around protein.

• 30 to 40g per meal, starting at breakfast
• Aim for your goal bodyweight in grams a day

Protein blunts the blood sugar spikes that drive insulin and the lower-belly fat that comes with it.

4. Walk after your meals.

• Aim for 8 to 10k steps a day
• A 10 minute walk after eating works best

Walking after meals lowers your blood sugar and insulin naturally, and keeps cortisol down too.

5. Protect your sleep.

• 7 to 8 hours, same bedtime
• Magnesium glycinate before bed
• Cool, dark room

Poor sleep spikes cortisol and wrecks your insulin sensitivity the entire next day.

Sleep is hormone repair.

6. Lower your daily stress.

• Morning walks and slow breathing
• Protect your downtime

Chronic stress keeps cortisol high, and high cortisol stores fat around your middle no matter how hard you train.

7. Cut the liquid sugar.

• Swap soda and sugary lattes for sparkling water or coffee
• Pair any carbs with protein or fat

Liquid sugar spikes your insulin fastest, and that's what drives the lower belly and back fat.

Rebalance these three and your body finally starts to change shape.

Meet April
Health and wellness have been a lifelong passion of mine—not just something I studied, but a way of life that I truly enjoy living every day. I’m a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, having completed my education through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) in New York, one of the world’s leading schools for integrative health.
I believe that true wellness goes far beyond counting calories or following the latest diet trend. My approach focuses on nourishing the whole person through balanced nutrition, healthy lifestyle habits, stress management, movement, and sustainable changes that fit your unique life.
One of my greatest passions is helping people understand the powerful connection between the brain and the gut. As research continues to reveal how closely our digestive health influences mood, energy, focus, and overall well-being, I love helping clients make practical changes that support both mind and body. I’m also deeply interested in hormone balance and enjoy continually expanding my knowledge of evidence-based nutrition and targeted supplementation to help people feel their best through every stage of life.
As a busy mom of two boys, I understand firsthand how challenging it can be to prioritize your health while balancing family, work, and everyday responsibilities. My lifestyle is active, and you’ll often find me enjoying the outdoors, staying active, and looking for new ways to challenge myself physically and mentally. I believe that learning never stops, and I’m committed to continually growing so I can better serve both myself and my clients.
My goal is to empower you with practical knowledge, personalized guidance, and lasting habits that help you feel energized, confident, and in control of your health. Together, we’ll create a realistic, sustainable path toward becoming the healthiest version of yourself.
