Body transformation isn’t linear. It’s layered.
First, you have to accept that wanting to change your body doesn’t mean you don’t love it. You can appreciate where you are while working toward where you want to be.
Then comes the hard part...learning patience. Results take time, and they rarely show up exactly when or how you expect.
But even when the transformation happens, the work isn’t over. You have to build the habits that keep those results and continue moving you forward.
And maybe the hardest part of all?
Learning to see the new version of yourself. So many people are still looking at yesterday’s reflection, even after they’ve become someone different.
Finally, you have to walk in your new body with confidence. Stop apologizing for choosing yourself. Stop shrinking to make other people comfortable.
Also, realize you may repeat parts of this process multiple times before you move on to the next; or even go backwards a time or two. It truly is a journey.
This transformation is about so much more than losing weight. It’s about becoming someone who believes she’s worthy of the life she’s worked so hard to build.
To my client: I’m proud of you. Even on the days you struggle to see your progress, I see it. Keep going. The mirror doesn’t always tell the whole story.
If this hit home, share with me in the comments, where are you in the transformation process?
