Honoring Survivors & Breaking Silence 💜
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and mental health is deeply intertwined.
🕊️ Survivors of domestic violence often carry invisible wounds: anxiety, PTSD, depression, dissociation, and shame.
Let’s name it. Let’s validate it. Let’s support healing.
🔍 Myth to Bust:
“Domestic violence is just physical.”
No, it can be emotional, financial, verbal, digital, or psychological. Abuse is about control, not just bruises.
💬 Affirmation of the Week:
“I deserve safety. I deserve peace. I deserve love that doesn’t hurt.”
🌱 Healing Reminder:
You don’t have to explain your pain to deserve support.
You don’t have to be ‘fully healed’ to be worthy of joy.
📣 If You’re a Survivor:
You are not alone. You are not to blame. You are powerful.
For Wellness Wednesday, remember you deserve more and take care of yourself.
