So someone in a Group posted that ‘Libras are what folks think Geminis are’ and I did a rare comment because I usually just share from my page. But hey, when you’ve got experience and the phone rings, what do I constantly tell yall we do??? Mmhmm…answer that. Just in case anyone needed some notes 🥰
Here’s my response: You know, usually I don’t comment on these because I have my own astrology page, and I am a Libra in the third decan, the Gemini decan, so I may have a slightly more intense experience with having to correct things that do have a likeness to Gemini or Mercurial energy.
The third decan Libras are, in fact, a little better at lying than a first or second decan Libra (mercury influence), but we have to remember that regardless, Libra is still Libra. It is the air sign of Venus, not the earth sign. So the strength is not always what feels good to the senses through touch, appearance, or physical comfort. A lot of the power is in communication, presentation, delivery, framing, and understanding how information moves between people.
The issue is that, above all, Libra energy knows where to pick up where it leaves off. Omitting information. Knowing what to say, when to say it, and what to leave unsaid is part of the archetype. The lesson becomes learning when to hold information and when to fold it. Scorpio has a similar lesson, just expressed through a different, (emotional/water)lens.
And I say that because people with strong Libra placements may also carry Scorpio placements. I have a Libra Sun, Moon, and Jupiter in the 12th house. Meanwhile, I’m a Scorpio Rising with Mars, Mercury, and Pluto in the 1st, among several asteroids. So it’s very easy for me to admit flaws I’ve had to work through, especially throughout my Saturn return. I’m about to be 33 and entering my ninth house profection year. A lot had to change.
Here’s another thing. We are all the zodiac signs. Our charts contain every archetype somewhere. So if you have disdain toward the energetic frequency of a particular sign, it tends to keep showing up until you understand your responsibility in healing whatever projection, trigger, or lesson is attached to it.
And sometimes, when it comes to air energy in general, Libra, Gemini, and Aquarius, people who don’t have much air in their charts may honestly hear what they want to hear. That doesn’t necessarily mean they weren’t given enough information to figure it out on their own. Air signs often process information quickly, make connections quickly, and move from point A to point B mentally without explaining every step in between. Because of that, they can sometimes feel like they’re doing a lot of the intellectual heavy lifting in conversations.
That doesn’t mean other people are less intelligent. Not at all. The gift of air gives speed. Speed of gathering information. Speed of pattern recognition. Speed of making connections. Intelligence itself is developed in many different ways.
And by the way, a lot of Libras stop caring about pleasing everybody as they get older. It becomes less about needing approval and more about becoming comfortable with being perceived. Eventually, you understand how opinions form in people’s minds, and you realize that somebody is going to have one regardless of what you do. At some point, perfection stops being the goal because you realize perfection was never possible to begin with.
So screw it.
Be yourself.
