This year, The Swift Institute celebrates 20 years of Dr. Lynch being in business! Dr. James Lynch is a board-certified neurosurgeon with 30 years of experience and is also the visionary behind The Swift Institute.

After founding Spine Nevada and IXE Healthcare Group, Dr. Lynch then pursued Tahoe Fracture, ultimately merging into what is now The Swift Institute. The Swift Institute held a celebration in his honor and surprised Dr. Lynch with a giant card.

The Swift Institute would like to congratulate our very own, Lisa Hammargren-Kuykendall on completing her Advanced Headache Certificate Course! Lisa is now the only Certified Headache Specialist in Northern Nevada.

Lisa completed this course at The Jefferson College of Nursing, a premier academic headache center. The Post-Graduate Certificate Program in Advanced Headache Diagnosis and Management brings clinically important and novel information to a diverse group of clinical learners to improve patient care and outcomes related to headache disorders.

Dr. Waqaar Ahmad and the Swift Vein team recently hosted an educational dinner and presentation for providers in Northern Nevada. The event was in collaboration with Medtronic. Dr. Ahmad gave a talk on managing chronic venous insufficiency. Lots of great discussion throughout the evening and amazing food and beverages from Zephyr Wine Bar.

Swift Vein Institute is a specialty center for the treatment of medical vein conditions including chronic venous insufficiency and associated symptoms such as varicose veins, achy legs, restless legs, and swollen legs. Dr. Waqaar Ahmad is fellowship-trained in Vascular and Interventional Radiology with ABMS board certification in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology. Swift Vein Institute - Reno is the only center in Nevada to achieve both accreditation by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) as a Vein Center and in Vascular Testing in the area(s) of Peripheral Venous Testing. This demonstrates the on-going commitment to quality patient care at each location. Most insurances are cover the treatment for medical vein conditions including Medicare.
