Let Mothers look like Mothers.
May she be oozing with life-sustaining milk and honey.
May she look well-fed.
May she look nourished.
May she look rested.
May she look soft, full, expansive, radiant, undone, and completely alive.
Because motherhood is an ecosystem.
Her body is changing.
Her hormones are changing.
Her rhythms are changing.
She is producing, providing, sustaining, teaching, protecting, healing, and learning how to mother a new life while simultaneously becoming a new version of herself.
And she may not even understand all that is happening within her yet.
So let her wear motherhood.
Let her wear the fullness.
Let her wear the softness.
Let her wear the tired eyes and the swollen breasts.
Let her wear the belly that carried life.
Let her wear the appetite.
Let her wear the marks.
Let her wear the transformation.
She does not need to rush to look like she did before she became a mother.
Honor the look of Motherhood on you.
There is nothing wrong with looking like you are in the middle of becoming.
