We're incredibly proud to share that CompassionCare Hospice has received the ๐ข๐๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ ๐๐ผ ๐ฉ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐ ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ for the ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฑ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฐ๐๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ through BrightSpring Health Services' Annual Community Service Challenge Program.
This recognition reflects the extraordinary dedication of our volunteers, who give their time, energy, and hearts to honoring and supporting Veterans in our community.
Our volunteers serve Veterans and their caregivers across generations of service - from World War II and the Korean War to Vietnam and the Gulf War - and continue to find meaningful ways to recognize and support those who served.
Their impact reaches far beyond our hospice patients. Our volunteers participate in more than ๐ฑ๐ฌ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐บ๐บ๐๐ป๐ถ๐๐ ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ผ๐๐ ๐ฉ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐, help support local initiatives serving homeless Veterans, and bring music, dancing, entertainment, and companionship to Veterans in facilities throughout the community - especially during the holidays when many may not have family nearby.
One recent example of their commitment was helping furnish a new 51-unit housing community for homeless Veterans. Five of our volunteers spent weeks assembling furniture and organizing kitchen and bathroom supplies, with two continuing to provide food and ongoing support.
