Something I am noticing in many of the bodies I have my hands on right now β The Tuck. The sacrum has pulled forward. Inward. Almost toward the belly button, as if the whole pelvis is trying to disappear into itself.
What I feel in that pattern is protection. We are living in a world shifting at a pace our nervous systems were never designed to sustain. And when the body doesn't feel safe with the speed of that change, it does what it has always done. It tucks. It draws inward. It makes itself smaller, guarding the soft vital center β heart, lungs, belly.
This is ancient, intelligent survival wisdom. The problem is when it becomes the body's new normal. Over time that protective tucking creates a cascading tightness throughout every body system. Digestion. Circulation. Respiration. Everything becomes less mobile, less able to do its job with ease. Sometimes we become a little harder of heart. A little less open. Because our hearts and lungs are, quite literally, compressed.
