This entire week we celebrated our amazing Behavior Technicians! They are truly the backbone of Spectrum Squad and we wouldn't be able to create radical change in the lives of children with Autism if it weren't for them. ☀️✨🎉

Nobody ever expects an autism diagnosis for their child. But when it happens, you’re faced with a choice. You can let it consume you, or you can lace up your boots and step into the mud. I choose the mud. ✨

The Ackerman Center did it again with their Annual Grant-a-Gift 5K. This year, we connected with over 1,500 people....our people. The ones who truly understand. And it was everything.

As a mom of a child on the spectrum, I know how hard it can be just to leave the house, let alone attend an event. But we showed up. We did it. And I am so proud and honored to have met so many incredible parents here in Las Vegas who chose the mud. 🙌🏾🪩✨

Sometimes, as parents, we unintentionally limit our children.

Not out of neglect, but out of love. Out of wanting to protect them, help them, or make things easier. We step in too quickly. We assume they can’t. We lower the expectation before giving them the chance.

But when we pause… when we create space for independence… something powerful happens.

Our children rise.

In ABA, daily living skills aren’t just about routines. They’re about breaking through those invisible limits and showing our kids—and ourselves—what’s truly possible.

They are capable. Sometimes they just need the opportunity to prove it

“It was just like any other day,” Clinical Bunny Director Marissa would say,

Hopping into chaos before 8am....no delay.
With coffee in hand and her clipboard held tight,
Running the clinic like it’s her birthright.

There were notes to review and staff calling out,
A parent with questions, a kid with a shout.
“Use your words,” she said with a calm, gentle tone,
While mentally screaming, “I need a clone.”

Between tantrums, triumphs, and schedules off track,
She fixed it all quick....no time to look back.
By noon she was hopping, by three running thin,
Still smiling like, “Yep, I’ve got this,” with a grin.

“It was just like any other day,” she’d casually say…
