POV: The Spectrum Squad just walked in.

Different personalities. Different strengths. One mission.

We may not be the Golden Girls… but the friendship, the laughs, the teamwork, and the love for our kiddos? Definitely giving “Thank You for Being a Friend.”

This is Spectrum Squad. Where good people come together to do meaningful work ....and have a little fun while we’re at it. 🙃

One of the biggest concerns we hear from parents when deciding between in-home and in-clinic ABA is:

“I want my child to have opportunities to socialize.”

And that matters.

Socialization doesn’t always look like two children sitting across from each other having a conversation.

Sometimes it looks like playing beside another child. Sharing a space. Watching what another child is doing. Taking turns with a favorite toy. Joining an activity for a few seconds. Learning to tolerate someone else being part of their play.

For some of our kids, connection happens without words at all.

One of the beautiful things about the clinic environment is simply having those opportunities available throughout the day.

In-home ABA has its own incredible benefits, especially when working on skills within a child’s natural environment. But for families who want more opportunities for peer interaction, the clinic can create moments that are harder to naturally recreate at home.

Because socialization doesn’t have to look a certain way to count.

Sometimes being together is where it starts.

ABA isn’t about changing who a child is. It’s about helping them build the skills they need to navigate the world with more confidence, independence, and connection.

At Spectrum Squad, we believe progress should never come at the expense of individuality. We meet each child where they are, celebrate what makes them uniquely them, and teach skills that make everyday life a little easier.

Autism isn’t something to “fix.” Our job is to support, teach, empower, and connect.

We’re SO excited to announce that Occupational Therapy is coming to Spectrum Squad! Soon, we’ll be offering both in-home and in-clinic OT services to help make accessing therapy easier for our amazing families.

OT helps children build the skills they use every day—from sensory regulation and fine motor skills to self-care, play, and independence. Every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, and we can’t wait to bring this service to our community. ✨

We’re putting the finishing touches on everything now, so stay tuned… exciting things are coming!

Juneteenth at Spectrum Squad was a day full of learning, celebration and growth.

Our kids spent the day exploring the meaning of Juneteenth through educational videos, colorful crafts, painting activities, and projects that celebrated freedom and culture.

Mid-day we had an all-staff training focused on safety and compassionate care. Our team received hands-on training in crisis prevention and management, including safe hold procedures used only when necessary to protect children who engage in severe aggression or self-injurious behaviors. Ongoing training like this helps ensure our staff are equipped to support our learners with skill and confidence.

Finally we ended our day at AREA15 for some much needed food & fun.
