Not me getting emotionally attached to tiny fragrance bottles.

But seriously — I’m SO excited about the Discovery Sets.

One thing that really mattered to me while building Drift & Dwell was creating a way to experience the scents before committing to a full bottle, because fragrance is SUCH a personal thing. What feels fresh and comforting to one person might feel completely different to someone else.

Honestly, if you knew the amount of fragrance returns I put Amazon through trying to find “the one,” you’d understand exactly why this became such a priority for me. I was over blind-buying everything.

The Discovery Collection was designed to let you actually live with the scents a little first — test them throughout your home, find your favorite, rotate them depending on the mood, scent a pillow before bed, freshen up a bathroom after your husband destroys it… you get the idea.

And honestly… there’s something ridiculously satisfying about tiny versions of everything.

A few years ago, this started with an obsession.

Living in Las Vegas, I became fascinated by the way luxury hotels felt — warm woods, bright citrus, clean air, soft amber, vacation mode. I wanted that feeling at home.

What began with hotel diffusers and fragrance oils slowly turned into clone registries, late-night blending sessions, and learning how scent changes the way a space feels.

At first, I chased the fragrances I loved most: BR540, My Way, Le Labo, Aventus. Le Male.. my parfume collection grew, my fragrance oils became a hobby.

But eventually I realized I wasn’t trying to copy fragrance.

I was trying to design atmosphere.

As someone who’s worked in design for years, I started thinking about scent the same way I think about lighting, texture, and color. Every room could feel different emotionally.

That idea slowly became Drift & Dwell.

Air drifts through a home. Emotion dwells within it.

After years of experimenting, rebuilding, and creating, the first collection is finally real.

Drift & Dwell is currently in its soft-launch phase while I continue refining the website, fulfillment process, packaging, and customer experience behind the scenes as a one-person business building everything from scratch.

A few months ago, this existed only in notebooks and ideas.

And along with that, a little transparency:

Drift & Dwell is still in the final stages of becoming official — licensing, business setup, packaging, testing, and all the behind-the-scenes pieces and lagalities that come with building a small business from the ground up.

I know I’ve been quieter lately, but that’s because I’ve been focused on making sure everything is done the right way before launch.

This brand matters deeply to me, and I’d rather move slower and build something lasting than rush something unfinished.

Thank you to everyone following along while this all comes together.

Today the acrylic displays and retail signs arrived, and for the first time, the store displays are starting to feel real. Seeing everything come to life outside of notebooks and test bottles has honestly been surreal.

Still refining every detail before launch — but Drift & Dwell is getting closer every day.

And I’m getting really excited.

Most people never clean their diffuser.

This started as a simple idea before the rest fell into place.

There should be a cleaner made specifically for fragrance oils.

As someone using multiple diffusers in my own home, I kept running into the same problem—
buildup.

Even when you can’t see it, it’s there.
It affects how your next scent smells, how it throws…

I was replacing diffusers more often than I should have been.

And after digging into it, the answer was pretty clear— a dirty diffuser doesn’t last.

So I got to work.
