Group participants meet twice weekly to exercise, share nutrition facts/information, and encourage one another to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

LVCC along with Verlie Word and his peer led P.E.A.C.E initiative zoom called with Divine Kids Academy in Ghana! Together we raised over $1200 for the children chasing their dreams in the motherland. The Wellness Workshop Fall Fitness Challenge

This is Kelly Vance doing hand release pushups. Each member of his 3-man team had to complete each task. His team of military Veterans came in FIRST PLACE 🥇 James Faris and Tanarros Courtney were the other (2) members on this team. Courtney was release December 2025 and is currently working for the Senator Mike Jones in Virginia!
They completed the challenge in 34 minutes and 11 seconds!💪🏾

This is the banner I had a fellow inmate paint for our first event for the program. The artwork was not “all that”, but we had a good time. The event was held outside the Rec Yard. Security wouldn’t allow us to have many pics because the perimeter fence can’t be in photos!

I am Toney Griffin, the Owner of the brand Wellness Workshop. The main reason for getting into fitness is to channel energy into something positive and constructive. Investing in yourself is always a great idea because it’s a win no matter how you look at it. Over the years fitness has become a lifestyle and its beneficial in many ways. I got into facilitating the Wellness Workshop here at LVCC (Lawrenceville Correctional Center) in 2024. I feel passionate about sharing what I've learned over the years with the guys we work with. I feel like helping to inspire others is an awesome way to give back. And that's what it’s all about.
