Covid 2.0 hit our house this past week, and after family member #3 tested positive yesterday morning I found myself in a not so good place mentally 😔
I was tired - physically and emotionally - dealing with another bout of this virus. I was also angry. Angry about the fun things we had to miss out on. Angry about the hours I spent worrying and the chores that went undone as I lay in bed sleeping for what felt like days. When mom is sick the house stops running - am I right?
So much anger and frustration filled me, that I knew this morning something had to change. Past my quarantine and now testing negative, I laced up my shoes, put my “Jesus music” in my ears and walked. It. Out.
As I walked I let go of the fatigue, the anger, the frustration. I breathed in the fresh air, enjoyed the breeze, closed my eyes against the sunlight and with each footstep I focused on the blessings.
Gratitude, my friends, is what will get us through 🙏
I literally walked and walked - listing in my head EVERYTHING I could think of that I was grateful for. And you know what? It helped. A lot.
Thank you God for my struggles, for without them I would not know my strengths. Thank you God for my sorrows, for without them I would not realize my joys. ☀️🙏💕
