Therapy Is: Learning a new language for pain.
Therapy Isn't: Romanticizing suffering.
Some of us were raised to believe that struggle is proof of strength. That if we're hurting, sacrificing, carrying everybody else's burdens, or surviving impossible situations, then somehow we're winning.
Nah, homie.
Pain is a messenger, not a destination.
Healing isn't about becoming comfortable with suffering. It's about understanding what your pain is trying to tell you so you can respond differently.
When you learn the language of your pain, "anger" becomes hurt.
"Lazy" becomes exhausted.
"Clingy" becomes afraid.
"Numb" becomes overwhelmed.
"Fine" becomes everything you've been avoiding.
đź–¤ No BS Fact:
"We don't glorify pain over here, we translate it."
Because pain isn't the lesson.
What you learn from it is.
