Last month marked a very special and bittersweet moment as we celebrated the retirement of our beloved therapy dog, Chance.

Over the years, Chance and Andrea have brought immeasurable comfort, joy, and support to the children, families, and staff at Shriners Children’s Lexington. Whether it was a wagging tail, a calming presence during difficult moments, or simply a reason to smile, Chance made a lasting difference in countless lives.

Their dedication, compassion, and kindness have created a legacy that will not be forgotten. While we will deeply miss seeing Chance in the halls, we are so grateful for the love and light he shared with all of us.

Thank you, Chance and Andrea, for everything you’ve given—your impact will continue to be felt for years to come 🐶💕

As a pediatric orthopedic specialist at Shriners Children's Lexington, Dr. Wilson focuses on treating sports injuries and conditions. He's been with us since 2020 and is an assistant professor in the University of Kentucky's Department of Orthopaedic Surgery!
