Something I've been reflecting on this week...

The older I get, the less interested I am in doing what's popular and the more committed I am to doing what's true.

Truth doesn't change because it's inconvenient.
It doesn't change because it's unpopular.
And it certainly doesn't change because someone says it louder.

That conviction shapes every area of my life.

It's why my faith calls me to stand for what's right, even when it's uncomfortable.

It's also why my business is built on evidence rather than trends. In nutrition and wellness, there's always another miracle product, another quick fix, another viral claim, or another person promising results that sound too good to be true. I've never wanted to build my practice on what gets the most attention. I'd rather build it on what consistently produces the best outcomes for the people I serve.

Because eventually, the results tell the story.

The same is true in life.

When we build on truth, integrity, and sound principles, the fruit shows over time. It may not be immediate, but it's lasting.

But when we build on hype, convenience, popularity—or worse, dishonesty to gain approval, impress others, or mislead—those foundations eventually begin to crack. What may look successful for a season often can't withstand the test of time. Sooner or later, the truth has a way of revealing what is genuine and what was merely carefully constructed.

That's why I've learned to pay less attention to what's trending today and more attention to what will still be standing years from now.

So I'll keep choosing truth over trends.
Evidence over hype.
Integrity over approval.

Even when those choices aren't the easiest, I know they're never unnoticed. God sees what others may not. He honors faithfulness, values integrity, and, in His perfect timing, brings truth into the light.

In the end, the fruit always reveals the root.

June is Lipedema Awareness Month, and one of the biggest misconceptions I want to address is this:

Lipedema is not simply a disease of fat accumulation. And it’s not just a lymphatic disease either.

Lipedema is a loose connective tissue disorder that affects the body’s fat, blood vessels, lymphatic vessels, nerves, and supporting tissues. The abnormal fat accumulation is one symptom of the disease — not the disease itself.

That may help explain why lipedema can cause so much more than enlargement of the legs or arms. Pain, tenderness, easy bruising, tissue fragility, swelling, heaviness, mobility issues, and joint instability can all be part of the experience.

Lipedema is believed to be inherited and often runs in families. It commonly appears or progresses during hormonal changes such as puberty, pregnancy, and menopause.

Many people think of lipedema as “stubborn fat,” but for those living with it, it often feels much more like a whole-body condition that happens to have a very visible fat component.

The fat gets the attention — but the connective tissue changes may be the deeper story. 💚

Trying to go from 10g to 35g of fiber overnight? Your gut will protest! Expect bloating and discomfort. Increase slowly, like adding a spoonful of beans or broccoli, to let your gut bacteria adjust. This isn't a sign fiber is bad, just that your gut needs time.

Most mornings, this is my breakfast. 🌿🥣
Simple. Nourishing. Powerful.

✔️ Sprouted organic oats
✔️ Fresh berries
✔️ Apple
✔️ H**p hearts
✔️ Flax meal
✔️ Pumpkin seeds
✔️ Walnuts

And while it may look like “just oatmeal,” this bowl is packed with nutrition:

✨ ~15–18g fiber
✨ Plant-based omega-3s
✨ Antioxidants + polyphenols
✨ Magnesium, zinc, iron & healthy fats
✨ Gut-supportive and naturally satisfying
✨ Naturally supports GLP-1 production through fiber-rich whole foods

Fiber plays a huge role in helping stimulate natural GLP-1 release in the body — the hormone involved in fullness, satiety, blood sugar regulation, and metabolism support. 🌱

This is the kind of meal that helps support:
🌱 Stable energy
🌱 Blood sugar balance
🌱 Heart health
🌱 Hormone health
🌱 Digestion + microbiome health
🌱 Natural fullness and satiety

No gimmicks.
No “detox tea.”
No ultra-processed breakfast bars pretending to be healthy.

Just real food working with your body the way it was designed to. 💚

I eat this type of breakfast 5–6 days a week because consistency matters more than perfection.

Your health is built through the small things you do repeatedly. 🌿
