Have you ever had a dream so vivid it stayed with you for days?

I was at a volleyball tournament when one of the parents transformed into something I couldn’t explain. I woke up with her voice hissing in my head: Tell her the truth.

Instead of clarity I got more weight. More spiral. I didn’t know what it meant. I didn’t have anyone to ask.

Are dreams just movies we play in our sleep? Or are they something more?

I know now. But at the time I was alone with it.

Two years ago I woke up every morning with a weight on my chest I couldn’t explain.

Everything was fine. The career, the kids, the life — by every measure, fine. So why was my body keeping score of something I couldn’t name?

That question started a journey I’m still on. Through the messy parts and the mystical ones. Through burnout, breakthrough, dreams I couldn’t explain, and truths I’d been carrying for too long.

I’m Jody — veteran, yoga practitioner, scientist, lifelong student of consciousness, and founder of Alkora.
