After a perfect season 32-0. The East Lincoln Mustangs entered the state finals with optimistic expectations before finishing 4th overall at the finals held at A&T State University Track and Field Stadium.

Toree Roseboro was the 2005 NCHSAA 3A female state champion in the 100-meter dash. Representing East Lincoln High School, she won the event with a time of 12.22 seconds at the state championship meet held on May 14, 2005.

Roseboro's performance contributed 10 points to East Lincoln's total score, helping the team finish 4th overall in the state with 28 points.

100 Meter Dash (Finals) Toree Roseboro East Lincoln and finishing 2nd in the 200 meters.
Also, on the 4 × 100 team that finished 2nd, Toree, Koree Roseboro her twin sister, cousin Essence Hunter and teammate Victoria Ross. Dante Roseboro (hamstring issue) finished 4th in both the 100 and 200 meters events and cousin Jadarius Roseboro 400 and 800 meters.
